To diagnose bad fuel injectors in your Mazda BT-50, start by performing a fuel pressure test. This test helps you determine if the issue is related to fuel injectors, a fuel pump, or a fuel filter. Connect a fuel pressure gauge to the rail and check the pressure. If the pressure is within the specified range, you can rule out the fuel pump and
Step 3 - Removing the Fuel Rail. The fuel rail could be detached from the engine using a 3/8 inch ratchet, socket and extension. Lift it out carefully out of the engine bay. Ensure that you keep an even grip on both sides of it so that you can remove it evenly. There are four bolts that are holding the rail in place.
Now use your 27mm socket & wrench to remove the injector itself. DO NOT USE YOUR TORQUE WRENCH FOR THIS OR YOU COULD RUIN IT!! Torque wrenches are designed to tighten only. My first injector loosened without too much force, and in less than a minute it was out & in my hand. Woo-hoo! Here is how it looked with the first injector out:

Do this for all suspect injectors. Start the engine and watch for the darkening/spotting of the brown paper with diesel spray, this will indicate quite clearly where the problem lies. Once identified the work can begin – Run the engine until nice and warm then turn it off and remove the keys.
Step 5. Slide a large flat-head screwdriver between the fuel rail and the injector plug. Push in and twist the screwdriver. You probably won't have clearance to properly lever the injector up and, even if you could, you'd end up doing it too quickly. As you twist the screwdriver to open up a slight gap, spray the area again with lubricant.
